Self Care – Post Two

(Did someone say Bath Time?)

Happy Sunday Everyone and welcome Daylight Savings Time. I hope you are looking forward to the added hours of light as I am and the fact that spring is just a few days away.

Today’s Self Care Tip – Take a long, warm bath. Even though this self care tip may seem like an out of date ritual, a warm bath has numerous benefits.

It relaxes the mind, soul and muscles. Being immersed in warm water helps you relax. If you add Epsom salts, which are high in magnesium, you can help soothe aching joints and muscles.

Add essential oils, such as lavender or chamomile to calm your mind.

Promote peace by escaping reality for a few moments by enjoying relaxing music or a good book while you soak.

Today’s Recipe:

FRESH BERRY GREEK YOGURT PARFAIT

Ingredients: Greek yogurt, berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries), Cereal or nuts, honey

Preparation: yogurt, berries, granola or nuts should be arranged in a glass or bowl. Drizzle with honey for more sweetness. Keep adding layers of ingredients in selected container. Serve right away or store in the fridge.
