Deadly Secret on Diamond Island – Chapter Three

A Strange Encounter

The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple as Margarite and Natalie walked along the beach. The sand was warm beneath their feet, and the air was filled with the scent of salt and tropical flowers. It was a scene straight out of a dream, a paradise that had seemed too good to be true.

“I still can’t believe we’re actually here,” Natalie said, her voice filled with wonder. “Diamond Island. It’s like something out of a movie.”

Margarite, ever the pragmatist, chuckled. “I know, right? It’s like they pulled all the best bits of the Caribbean and squeezed them into one place. It’s almost too perfect.”

“Almost,” Natalie agreed, a slight shiver running down her spine. “There’s something about this place… It’s beautiful, yes, but it feels… off.”

Margarite shrugged. “Maybe it’s just the jetlag. We’ve been traveling for hours.”

They continued walking, their bare feet sinking into the soft sand. The beach stretched out before them, pristine and deserted, the only sound the gentle lapping of waves against the shore.
