There aren’t very many people on my list.
Celebrities. NO. They are narcissistic and shallow. It’s hard to get advice from people who have more marriages than I have pairs of shoes.
Sports figures. NO. I find it difficult to understand this. Grown men and women receive $70 million dollar contracts just to throw a ball around. Meanwhile, we have homeless vets sitting on the side of a road with no access to health care.
Politicians. NO. They spew so much hate.
My circle is small. I seek God’s advice through His Word and prayer. My husband has been a bedrock of advice for over 30 years. I horribly miss my father in law’s wit and wisdom. He knew a little something about everything. And I can always rely on my kids to bring me down to earth.
