The first computer I ever owned was purchased by my husband and me in 1996. It was a desktop computer package complete with color coded cords, speakers, an inkjet printer, a set of floppy disks and a free AOL email account. It cost us over $2,000 for the complete setup. We got our money’s worth from it and it finally crashed and died around 2004. Two of our kids did reading games on it, math games and one of my husband’s state political campaigns in 2004.
