My dream home doesn’t require much anymore. A place near a lake to boat, swim and fish with space for a garden and goats, and a huge porch to enjoy coffee and sunrises and sunsets.
First I would stop and say a prayer of thanks to God for making it happen
Then I text or call my husband then my kids
Lastly it gets written down in my gratitude journal 😁
You get some great, amazingly fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?
I used to like people, but people ruined it for me.
I used to be a very active extrovert, loved socializing, mingling among the crowds at political events, civic events and church potlucks.
Not anymore. I will do the occasional dinner at Red Robin after church with another couple. Other than that, if it involves any social circle outside my husband, kids, cat or dog, I’m out.
Life’s journey is filled with challenges, but we can find hope and strength through powerful words of encouragement. In this video, we explore timeless wisdom from the Bible and renowned leaders like Nelson Mandela and Maya Angelou, reminding us that perseverance and faith can help us overcome any obstacle. A Desperate Plan
The air hung heavy with the scent of salt and fear as Margarite and Natalie huddled in the shadows of a dilapidated building, the remnants of a once-grand structure that had fallen victim to time and neglect. The moon, a pale orb hanging low in the sky, cast eerie shadows that danced on the cracked concrete walls.
“This is crazy, Natalie,” Margarite whispered, her voice trembling slightly. “We’re practically trespassing, and we have no idea what’s inside.”
“We’re not just trespassing, Marg,” Natalie countered, her eyes gleaming with a steely resolve. “We’re infiltrating the heart of the beast. Remember what we found in the journal?”
Natalie gestured towards the small, leather-bound book, its pages filled with faded ink and secrets whispered from a long-forgotten past. The journal had been their Rosetta Stone, leading them to the dark truth about Diamond Island.
They had discovered that the island’s idyllic facade concealed a sinister network of illicit activities, fueled by greed and shrouded in deceit.
“The island’s owner, Mr. Pierce, has been using Diamond Island as a front for something much darker. He’s been exploiting people, manipulating the island’s resources, and even worse, running something far more sinister. He’s been trafficking people, using his wealth and influence to cover up his crimes.”
Margarite’s stomach churned. “I can’t believe it. This place was supposed to be a paradise. It’s sickening.”
“That’s exactly why we have to expose him,” Natalie said, her voice hardening. “We have to get proof, something concrete to take to the authorities. We have to bring him down.”
“But how?” Margarite asked, her voice edged with fear. “He’s powerful. He’s got people watching him, people who wouldn’t hesitate to harm us.”
Natalie took a deep breath, her face grim. “We need to be smart. We need a plan. A plan that’s daring, risky, and will give us the edge we need.”
Their eyes met, a silent agreement passing between them. They knew the danger they were facing, but they were fueled by a shared sense of purpose. The island’s dark secrets had awakened a fire within them, a burning desire to fight back against injustice.
“Here’s what we’ll do,” Natalie said, her voice now a low whisper. “We’ll use the abandoned building as our staging ground. It’s out of sight, and it gives us a good vantage point over the main compound.”
“The compound? You want to go there? That’s crazy!” Margarite exclaimed, her eyes widening in disbelief. “That’s where Mr. Pierce and his henchmen are. We’re talking about a fortified fortress, armed guards, and security systems.”
“It’s our only chance,” Natalie insisted. “We need access to Pierce’s private records, his financial records, anything that can expose his illegal activities. We have to get inside, and we have to do it tonight.”
Margarite knew Natalie was right. They had no other choice. The thought of the helpless victims, their lives caught in the web of Pierce’s deceit, fueled their resolve. It was time to confront the darkness head-on.
“Alright, Natalie,” Margarite said, her voice trembling slightly, but her resolve unwavering. “Let’s do this. We’ll find a way in.”
Their hearts pounded in their chests as they formulated their plan. They had no choice, they had to expose Pierce and his sinister activities. They were in over their heads, but they were determined to fight back. They were not simply vacationers anymore. They were warriors, ready to face the shadows of Diamond Island.
Their mission was clear: infiltrate the compound, gather evidence, and escape before Pierce and his henchmen realized what they were doing. They would be like ghosts, moving silently through the shadows, taking what they needed and disappearing before anyone could stop them.
The first step was to get into the compound. There were two main entry points, the front gate and the back gate. The front gate was heavily guarded, with a team of security guards on patrol 24/7. They would need to find a way to bypass them.
They decided to focus on the back gate, which was less guarded and would provide a better avenue for a stealthy approach. They had observed the compound’s security
systems, noting the locations of the surveillance cameras and the patrols of armed guards. They knew their mission was a risky one, but they had to do it.
“Okay,” Natalie said, her voice low and firm, “we’ll use the back gate. There’s a small maintenance shed near the gate, and we can use it as a cover. There’s also a gap in the fence line near the shed that we can use to slip in.”
Margarite nodded. “Okay, but how are we getting past the guards?”
Natalie pulled a small, silver tool from her pocket. It was a lock pick, something she had learned how to use during their many adventure trips. “I’ve got this.”
They spent the next hour studying the blueprints of the compound, memorizing the layout and plotting their path. They planned to use the abandoned building as their staging point, then move to the maintenance shed, then use the gap in the fence to infiltrate the compound.
They spent the following hours meticulously planning their every move, ensuring that their plan would lead them to success. They were determined to expose the truth, no matter the cost.
They knew their plan was risky, but they were determined to bring justice to Diamond Island. They again reminded themselves that they were not just vacationers anymore. They had to be warriors, ready to face the darkness head-on.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the island, Margarite and Natalie made their move.
They slipped out of the abandoned building, their movements silent and stealthy, their eyes glued to the moonlit path ahead.
They crept towards the back gate of the compound, their hearts pounding in their chests. The air was thick with anticipation, and they moved with an almost supernatural quiet, their senses heightened to the point of obsession.
They reached the maintenance shed, its paint peeling and its windows boarded up. They had already explored it earlier that day, confirming its potential as a staging point.
Natalie whispered, “I’m going to try to open the back gate. You stay here and watch for guards.”
Margarite nodded, her hand reaching for the lock pick. She knew how important it was to remain calm and focused, even in the face of such danger. They had come too far to let their nerves get the better of them.
Natalie skillfully maneuvered the lock pick, the delicate click of the lock breaking the silence. She pushed the gate open with a gentle push, the rusty hinges groaning in protest.
“I’m in,” Natalie whispered, her voice low but filled with confidence.
They slipped through the gate, moving with the agility of seasoned spies, their bodies becoming one with the shadows.
They navigated the compound, their senses on high alert, their every move calculated and precise.
They made it to the main building, a sprawling structure of concrete and glass, where Pierce’s private offices and the island’s financial records were kept.
“Okay, Marg,” Natalie whispered, her voice filled with determination. “This is it. We’re going to get the proof we need.”
They reached the back entrance, their hearts pounding in their chests. They knew they were about to walk into a trap, but they were determined to face the danger head-on.
They slipped inside, the air thick with the scent of polished wood and stale air. They moved through the labyrinthine corridors of the building, their steps silent, their eyes
scanning for any sign of danger.
They reached the financial records room, the door bolted shut. Natalie pulled out a small, metallic device from her pocket, a device that could bypass any electronic security system. She had been training for this moment for years, learning the secrets of the world’s most advanced security systems.
“This is it,” she whispered, her hands moving with a precision that only years of practice could bring. “Let’s do this.”
As they made their way to the financial records room, they came across a group of men huddled in a dimly lit hallway. They could hear snippets of conversation, their voices low and menacing.
“That’s a lot of money, Pierce. We’re doing a lot of good for you.”
“Don’t you worry about a thing. We’ve got everything under control.”
“I’ve been to one of those Islands. Those girls are not coming back,” said one of the men.
Margarite’s heart sank. They were dealing with powerful and ruthless people. She was scared, but her resolve hardened. She would not let them get away with their crimes.
Natalie felt the same wave of fear wash over her. But she knew they had to keep moving, to find the proof they needed. The girls were no longer just vacationers, they were crusaders.
“We can’t stay here,” Natalie whispered. “They’ll be suspicious of us if we stay here too long. Let’s go.”
They crept back to the financial records room. Natalie quickly hacked into the system, downloading the data onto a hidden USB drive. The data was encrypted, but she knew she could crack the code.
They finished what they came for and were about to leave when a group of men, armed and dangerous, appeared in the hallway.
“We’ve got you now,” said the leader of the group. “No one messes with Pierce.”
Natalie and Margarite knew they had to act fast. They ran, dodging the men as they sprinted through the corridors, their hearts pounding in their chests.
They could hear the men close behind them, their footsteps echoing in the hallway.
Natalie had a plan. They would reach the back gate, and they would slip out before the men could catch them. They made it to the back gate, and they turned to face their pursuers.
The men blocked the gate. They were trapped. There was no escape. They were going to get caught.
Just then, a small group of island natives appeared from the shadows. They were the same natives who had warned them about Pierce’s crimes.
The natives fought the guards off, allowing Natalie and Margarite to escape through the gate. The natives were their allies, ready to protect them from harm.
They made their escape, leaving the compound behind. They were safe.
They made their way back to their room, their hearts still pounding from the encounter. They had gotten the proof they needed, but they knew their work was far from over. They had to expose Pierce and his crimes, to bring him down, and to save Diamond Island from his corrupting influence.
They had to find a way to get the proof they had acquired to the authorities. They knew that their mission was not over. There was a war against the darkness, and they were the warriors on the front lines.

Do you need a break? From what?
A break from all the noise….
The horns and traffic during the commute
The noise from our phones and constant notifications
The noise from the news. Enough said.
This story is not a yolk. This was an eggceptionally well planned heist and the owners of the stolen trailer want the thieves to be poached while authorities scramble to find the suspects
