I started babysitting when I was 12 years old and did this until I left for college at age 18. Punky Brewster, sesame Street, He-man and Transformers, Smurfs.

Our neighbors tell the Christmas story using large pieces beginning with an empty stable, manger and star. Follow along as I will post the additions to the story!

What could you do less of?
Less judging of others – we don’t know the path they are walking
Less worrying – don’t borrow trouble that is not here
Less complaining – there is something to be grateful for in every day
What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?
Number one….that I survived. 2024 was one of the hardest years I have ever gone through: the death of my sister, and my father in law, my husband’s unemployment for most of the year. But the start of 2025 finds my husband with a wonderful new job, the release of my first self-published book, all our kids employed, and the knowledge to just keep going.
If you are talking literally….no. way out here in western Washington, it’s basically giant size slugs, an occasional fox.
If you are talking figuratively, yes. Especially on I-5 during the rush hour commute!

Several years ago my husband won an all expenses paid cruise to the Bahamas. The people were so friendly and watching their driving was an entertainment in and of itself. It is an island rich in history, beauty and I would go back in a heartbeat.
