Pass the chicken and the fish please!

It is fascinating how the topic of eating or not eating meat has become such a hotly debated topic. My husband loves to tease me because I am the one person who will go to a steakhouse for dinner and always choose fish! I will choose chicken with my pasta and I could eat some form of fish every day!

A very special hooded sweatshirt and pink Sketchers

A very comfy hooded sweatshirt that my husband bought me while he was attending law school. It has the name of his alma mater that he graduated from. It’s my favorite sweatshirt, along with a pair of jeans and hot pink Sketcher sneakers. My all–purpose outfit!

To Simply Keep Going

This Monday December 2nd, my new book “Spiritual Reflections During Life’s Seasons of Sorrow, Stress and Adversity” goes live on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback options. The best way to answer this prompt is from the Introduction to my book:

“If I had to describe 2024, I would call it “The Year That Almost Swallowed Me Whole.”  Navigating a cross country job change, multiple job losses for my husband, then even more multiple job resume rejections, the death of my sister to brain cancer after being declared cancer free, then ending the year with the sudden loss of my Godly father-in-law to pancreatic cancer.  There were so many sleepless nights, days of constant anxiety and worry, and pleading with God.  “Why me and how do I get through this?”  A voice broke through the chaos and said “I love you.  Trust me.”  A hand caught mine in the midst of the waves that threatened and the hand never let go.  I was assured that I would endure.”

2024’s hardest decision. To Keep Going.

Cinnamon Salad and Fat Man’s Misery

These two recipes have been in my husband’s family forever it seems. And my husband and kids threaten to picket in front of the house if they do not get made.

Cinnamon salad has cinnamon red hot candies, red jello mix and unsweetened applesauce.  And is a colorful zingy side dish.

Fat Man’s Misery has crushed Oreo cookies, hand whipped heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, butter and then is frozen.

Recipes available upon request!
