Name your top three pet peeves.
Negativity….I don’t like being around it. It sucks the air out of the room and brings me down
When people use the world as a trash can. It’s the year of our Lord 2024. Garbage cans are everywhere. Use one
When my coffee cup is empty. That’s just plain sad 🤣
Who are your current most favorite people?
My two legged favorite people are my husband and my three kids. They are the reason I get up in the morning and do what I do. They bring me joy! My four legged furry family members are always at the door to greet me when I get home and make life happy
Excerpt from my upcoming book “Spiritual Reflections During Life’s Seasons of Sorrow, Stress, and Adversity”
The Bible is filled with stories of individuals who found strength and peace in God’s presence, even amidst challenging circumstances. Consider the story of the prophet Elijah, facing the wrath of a vengeful queen, feeling hunted and alone. He runs for his life, exhausted and despairing. But then, God meets him in a quiet cave, providing him with sustenance and renewal, giving him the strength to continue his mission. Elijah’s story reminds us that even when we feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and tempted to give up. God is always there, waiting to meet us in our need. He offers us a haven of peace, a place of refuge, a source of strength to face our challenges with courage and grace.
Finding this inner peace isn’t a passive exercise, it’s a conscious choice we make every day. It’s a commitment to prioritize our spiritual well-being to carving out time for stillness, for prayer, for mediation, for connecting with God’s presence.
It’s about learning to navigate the storms of life, not with fear, but with faith, not with anxiety, but with trust.
Spending time in prayer is a powerful way to connect with God and invite His presence into our lives. Prayer is not about reciting a list of demands or requests; it’s about creating a space for open and honest conversation with the One who loves us unconditionally. It’s about sharing our joys, our burdens, our fears, and our hopes, knowing that He listens with a compassionate heart.
“Finding Strength in the Eye of the Storm”
The storm rages on, an unyielding force,
Yet in the eye of the tempest, a stillness descends.
A moment of quiet, a space to breathe.
A sanctuary where hope can take root.
I close my eyes and listen to the silence.
Feeling the presence of a peace that surpasses understanding,
It’s a gentle whisper, a soft embrace,
A reminder that even in the midst of chaos, God is with me.
The storm may continue to rage,
But I find strength in the eye of the tempest, Where faith is renewed and hope takes flight, Where I am reminded that I am not alone.

What are your favorite animals?
How’s that for the laziest response ever!! But it’s seriously true. My daughter’s bucket list is for us to be able to live on 40 acres and have a hobby farm with goats and rabbits and a few lizards and geckos thrown in
Beach or mountains? Which do you prefer? Why?
I am a tall fair skinned redhead you see, so a life of waves and sand is not for me.
So give me crisp mountain top air up so high, where you can hike and climb and touch the sky.
Have a wonderful Friday everyone!
What are your family’s top 3 favorite meals?
My family’s top requested three:
#3 Spaghetti and meatballs with homemade sauce
#2 Rigatoni noodles with pork sausage and white Alfredo sauce
And coming in at number one (drumroll please) #1 traditional Thanksgiving dinner with sparkling apple cider
If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?
I love history so this would be quite the long list 😁 my top three for today…
Susan B Anthony. Because of her tireless efforts for women’s suffrage I can enjoy the privilege to vote
Wyatt Earp. Who wouldn’t love a first hand account of the OK Corral
Annie Oakley. Learns to hunt to help support her impoverished family, Wins a shooting contest against an experienced marksman, marries him, then he is so grieved by her death that he stops eating and passes away 18 days later. She would have some stories!
Do you trust your instincts?
If I want to make a huge change or life altering decision, I read a few passages from Proverbs for renewed wisdom and pray alot. Then I go to sleep on it. If I don’t toss and turn about it or wake up with a knot in my stomach, then I proceed.
