What historical event fascinates you the most?

I love history and traveling to museums and have been fortunate to visit some fascinating sites. If I choose just one it would have to be Custer’s Last Stand and the site of the Little Bighorn Memorial. It was a moving experience.

What’s something you believe everyone should know.

Saying thank you or showing appreciation are lost arts anymore. I have watched people in line for fast food talking non stop on their phones, the worker hands them the order, the customer basically snatches it and runs without so much as a nod or smile of thanks. I see it in grocery checkout lines.  The same exact behavior towards cashiers.

It’s two simple words…thank you.

What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

To be able to find joy and fun in simple things. 

Love everyone. They don’t pay attention to differences

Don’t judge.

Innocence.

You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?

To have my father in law back.  Life has not been the same for my husband and kids without him.

An end to the current global conflicts.  It’s time to stop the bloodshed .

The Buffalo Bills to win a Super Bowl. 

Describe a family member.

It is almost the one year anniversary of my father in law’s sudden passing.  Hard to believe. He was a man among men.  Godly, loyal, knew a little something about everything and family and church meant the world to him.  He worked for MNDOT for his entire 40 year career. Was the founding member of a Baptist Church.  Served in Iran and he could tell the best Ole and Lena jokes. If you’re a Minnesotan you’ll understand. The world is not the same without him.

What is your favorite form of physical exercise?

The serious answer:  hiking, walking in the woods, walking the dog just before bedtime!  It’s calming and a great way to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature 🍄‍🟫

The funny answer :  the arm stretches from taking all those sips of coffee ☕🤣

How much would you pay to go to the moon?

Zero dollars.  Zilch. Nothing. Nada. I have no desire to go to space. I admire those however that want to take the risk. Let’s talk about a submarine voyage and I’m all in!

What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

The only career path I truly am interested in following is what gets me to owning/operating my own home-based business.  My husband and I currently have two we are getting off the ground. I just have no desire to work for someone else anymore and my hard work and loyalty only serves their dreams/pursuits 

What food would you say is your specialty?

I love to cook and bake.  My specialty would have to be baking cookies.  Chocolate chip, soft molasses, peanut butter kiss cookies, an old fashioned sandwich cookie, rolled out sugar cookies to name a few.
