What positive emotion do you feel most often?
Gratitude. To God for giving me another day to be alive. For a roof over my head, for food on the table, for my husband and kids, and that I live in freedom.

A blog where we can journey together for a healthier life
What positive emotion do you feel most often?
Gratitude. To God for giving me another day to be alive. For a roof over my head, for food on the table, for my husband and kids, and that I live in freedom.

How do you plan your goals?
First, I pray over the goals I have set. For wisdom that they are the right goals, for success in achieving them and for strength dealing with setbacks. Second, I write everything down in a journal: my daily goals, my weekly goals and long term goals. Then I proceed!
Create an emergency preparedness plan.
Having grown up in Western New York, and then having lived in Minnesota and Colorado…three states where snowy weather is common, we always kept a winter weather kit in our vehicles. It consisted of a set of jumper cables, a tow rope, battery operated flashlight, orange road cones, a heavy coat, extra hat, gloves, boots, and a small shovel (in case we encountered someone stuck in the snow and had to clear snow from around the tires) and a bag of sand or water softener pellets to keep the back of the vehicle weighted to avoid sliding on ice!
What is a word you feel that too many people use?
This is a free PSA to all sports announcers. Please stop with the word physicality. Cease and desist. 🤣. It is overused across all sports as a catch all to commentate on size, appearance, weight, skill, etc. Thank you and so concludes my soapbox for today.
What brings you peace?
P – prayer
E – encouragement from reading God’s Word
A – avoiding negativity (negative people, negative news)
C – church
E – engaging with nature
What profession do you admire most and why?
Our military personnel. Going through rigorous training, being deployed to countries and cultures foreign and unknown, the lengthy separation from friends and family. We are truly in awe and indebted.
If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?
I would love to bling out a van or truck and be a mobile barista/bookstore where I could give away a free cup of coffee with a magazine or book to brighten someone’s day.

What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?
Although at first the answer may seem flippant, but I do have to say my phone. It’s my ultimate connector- the Bible app for the verse of the day, ability to send and receive notes of encouragement to and from loved ones far away, my Starbucks app of course, photos of my kids and husband, and the Sirius XM app, so Elvis Presley goes wherever I go 🙂

What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?
Great prompt. I would love it if people would view my blog as their positive anecdote in a very negative world. And that it would make them smile and brighten their corner of the world

Describe your life in an alternate universe.
In an alternate universe I would live off the grid in a fortified castle at the top of a high cliff along the ocean shore
