The childish drama of celebrities and athletes

Scour the news for an entirely uninteresting story. Consider how it connects to your life. Write about that.

I find the public and online tiffs between athletes and celebrities to be incredibly childish and uninteresting. If you have a disagreement, resolve it in private.  I don’t care if so and so is dating your ex, or another actress was caught wearing the same dress as you.  This only connects to me in that I hope I don’t get consumed by such pettiness.

My Family.  Every. Single. Day.

Describe one habit that brings you joy.

Because of life’s circumstances, I am privileged that our kids live with us right now, contributing with expenses and helping care for the house.  One of my most rewarding habits is chatting with them each day about life, how their goals are going, grabbing a smoothie or quick lunch with them sometime during the week.  My kids are one of my greatest joys.

A Shout-out to my son….

Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.

I’m not crying , you’re crying 😂. For this prompt I am going to give a shout-out to my son ….When your son’s heart and generosity get you.  My son Sid drove us to Walmart Monday to buy groceries. I hung out in the car. He came and unloaded his stuff then disappeared. 15 minutes later he comes back and had tears in his eyes. A homeless guy had two dogs and did not want money or food for himself just stuff to feed the dogs. Sid had gone in and bought him a huge bag of dog food and said that a person who turns down money and food for himself and was willing to be hungry to feed his pet deserved some help.  ❤️😭 That got me right in the heart

Ribbon candy at Christmas ewwwww

What traditions have you not kept that your parents had?

My mom was a single mom of three girls and she worked as a nurse’s aide in a hospital so she worked every other Christmas. On the Christmases she had to work my mom would leave a container of ribbon candy. I was not fond of it but because it was considered an extravagant purchase I played along that it was divine.
