Cruising the high seas

Describe your most memorable vacation.

Several years ago my husband worked in insurance sales and won an all expense-paid cruise to the Bahamas.  One of the best trips I have ever been on. Did a history tour of the island, rode bikes, ate at the Hard Rock cafe and watched in awe how the cab drivers maneuvered through traffic. Friendliest people I have ever met.

Maintaining a positive attitude and powering through and adversity

On what subject(s) are you an authority?

It’s a rough stretch at work right now and testing my faith that any of us knows what we’re doing right now 🤣. The only thing I am convinced I know how to do with authority is to keep pressing forward with a smile trusting that the solutions will soon outweigh the problems.  Happy 4th of July everyone!

Sometimes it’s really the simple and mundane

What’s your definition of romantic?

Last week I had two assistant managers out due to vacation and illness.  I worked some extra long days to cover.  One night on my way home I called my husband and he tells me the trash was already taken out, he had the kids clean up the kitchen, and they had ordered Chinese and left a plate in the fridge for me.

What kind of country we are turning into

What are you most worried about for the future?

What worries me the most is what kind of country we are leaving are future generations….I earnestly hope we don’t abandon the ideals of being clean, operating with compassion, and creating opportunities for success.  I see such a void of leadership at many levels and everyday citizens are getting caught in the crossfire.

I believe everyone is a teacher

What makes a teacher great?

In some way, shape or form, almost everyone is a teacher. A parent teaches teaches daily about respect, commitment, life skills.  Grandparents teach about preserving traditions and memories.  Managers teach about integrity, accountability, appreciation.  In all of these, what makes all of them great is having patience, a love for what you do and who you teach, and a commitment to keep showing up when it’s hard and you just don’t want to.
