What’s your favorite thing about yourself?
My positive attitude. I try to be the ultimate cheerleader. There’s a solution for every problem. It just takes longer sometimes to find one. There’s always a reason to smile. There’s always something to be grateful for.
How do you want to retire?
Honestly I probably won’t. One, I enjoy working. It keeps me active physically, my brain is engaged in problem solving, and gives me purpose. However, my long term goal is to have my husband’s law firm grow to such a level that we can leave working for someone else and truly be our own boss.
What’s the oldest thing you own that you still use daily?
After unloading two trucks at work yesterday I would have to say humorously my body. 🤣 On the serious side, I have a 1919 cookbook that was my husband’s grandmother’s book and has the only chocolate chip cookie recipe I use. Best recipe ever (willing to share if anyone wants a copy)
Describe one of your favorite moments.
In trying to answer this prompt, it makes you realize how blessed you are if you have several to choose from. However, the birth of my three children tops the list of favorites. And when they want to hang out with me before anyone else or call me first when they need help or advice seals the deal.
What notable things happened today?
After a 6 month long application process, my husband’s admission to the Washington State Bar was approved and he will perform the Oath of Attorney today. As of 4 pm PST he will be admitted in two states and I could not be more proud.
What are you passionate about?
It was interesting researching the definition of passion…. fervor, ardor, enthusiasm, strong emotion that is deeply stirring. When defined like this, my passions are spending time with my husband, supporting my children, my faith in God, and my art.
What is your favorite season of year? Why?
Fall is my fabulous favorite season. The air turns fresh and crisp and cool. It’s harvest season, hayride time, bundle up in a sweater season. And nature is a wonderland of color.
What’s the one luxury you can’t live without?
Freedom is my paramount luxury. My other ones exist because of it: freedom to worship openly, freedom to commute to the job of my choice each day, freedom to travel with my family anywhere we choose.
If humans had taglines, what would yours be?
“My productivity and positive outlook powered by coffee.”
