What public figure do you disagree with the most?
Wikipedia defines a public figure as a person who has achieved fame, prominence, or notoriety within a society. When you observe today’s “public figures” I ignore most of them. The level of entitlement, lack of humility and grace, the absence of civility is astounding. Most of them need to be a little less public and be confined to an adult time out .
What is your career plan?
This prompt was a very timely one considering I just completed a cross country relocation to be a store manager. And my husband got the long awaited news yesterday his application to the Washington bar was approved! But better than all of this is as a mom, is knowing my kids have good jobs and can pursue their passions in art, writing and photography.
What was the last live performance you saw?
Just before we moved from Colorado our entire family got to see Comedian Tim Hawkins live. His comedic roast of the city of Boulder and the audience’s rousing singing of “Sweet Caroline” and “YMCA” will be memories we won’t forget.
What do you do to be involved in the community?
The two things our family does together to help is package Ziploc bags of travel size toiletries and hand them out to homeless in our community and when we get food items on sale, buy an extra few cans and donate them to our local food bank.
What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?
Hands down I would love to be an announcer in the booth and do play by play for a Major League baseball game. I would pack as many snacks, stats and trivia as I could into that one day.

What are your favorite brands and why?
To be honest when you’re feeding a family of five who walks around on two legs and a furry family of 3 that walks around on four legs it’s any brand on sale and saves me money! The only two items I don’t waver on …diet mountain dew and Dunkin donuts coffee
List the people you admire and look to for advice…
First and foremost….the Lord. The advice I get and have received from His word has never failed me. Second, my husband. He is a great problem solver and so many times when I am stuck, his fresh perspective gets me through. Lastly, my father in law who passed away at Christmas. We lived miles apart but texted every morning and he always had a good thought, funny meme or advice. I miss his morning pings to my phone
Do you vote in political elections?
Absolutely I do. I consider the freedom to vote a sacred privilege and a demonstrative act of showing I care. And I never miss voting in local elections as they have the greatest impact on daily life
What gives you direction in life?
First and foremost, the Bible. It contains wisdom for daily living, encouragement when life is tough, reminders of peace in an anxious world. Then my husband who for 30 years has been able to give objective advice, steer me through difficult problems!
