I love traditions and things that are passed down generation to generation. And some of the best-loved traditions are recipes. My family and my husband’s family have recipes that have been a part of family gatherings, hunting trips, holidays, and church potlucks for three generations. I am so excited to announce the release of aContinue reading “Family Recipes Vol. 1 – Main Dishes and Desserts”

Up up and awayyyyyy
What’s the biggest risk you’d like to take — but haven’t been able to? My husband wants us to take a hot air balloon ride but I am terrified of heights. I imagine the view and experience would be exhilarating but I have to overcome that one little fear 🤣
My marriage, my kids,
What are you most proud of in your life? My marriage – after 31 years, we are still going strong. A milestone I do not take likely. Through all the ups, downs, success, failures, we keep going with a sense of humor and commitment. My kids – they are hard-working, well-read, respectful and ambitious. IContinue reading “My marriage, my kids,”
Short term vs. long term
What have you been working on? Short term …I am a shop manager for an independent repair facility. We are working on a ’69 Jeep, ’83 Monte Carlo and ’98 Lincoln. Long term …thanks to encouragement from all of you, I have started the first steps for the children’s book I want to write . Continue reading “Short term vs. long term”
Some days I really really….
What’s something most people don’t know about you? Some days I really really really hate being so tall. Many times people remark “oh I wish I could be tall or it must be nice being that tall ” Sometimes it really isn’t. You don’t get left alone in the grocery store because customers always wantContinue reading “Some days I really really….”
Help me out here… what’s a lazy day 🤣
Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive? I have no idea what this lazy day is that thou speakest. Even if I am off from my job, I am working to grow my home-based business, cleaning, helping my husband or kids with projects, spoiling pets. The only hobby I would put under theContinue reading “Help me out here… what’s a lazy day 🤣”
Hands Down. My Mom
When you think of the word “successful,” who’s the first person that comes to mind and why? I would unequivocally have to say my mom. My dad left her when I was just 7 years old never to be seen again. She had three young daughters, no job, no friends. The only friends she hadContinue reading “Hands Down. My Mom”
A simple list
What makes a good neighbor? For the first time in about 12 years, we live in a neighborhood with great neighbors. What I have observed: the younger kids are respectful of the property around them. Not tearing across other yards with their bikes. They have helped some of the older ones with yard work. DrivingContinue reading “A simple list”
Indoor Rock Climbing
What could you try for the first time? I would love to try Indoor Rock Climbing. I do not like heights but I think that since the indoor version has various difficulty levels, safety harnesses and is a controlled environment, I could do it. It just looks plain fun.
TRIALS – What to do, what to do….
It is not hard to look around and see trials in abounding it seems. People recovering from hurricane damage, wildfires, job loss, disease, loss of a loved one. Trials can be defined as a test of faith in which you experience trouble or adversity. God uses trials to condition our hearts for holiness and toContinue reading “TRIALS – What to do, what to do….”
