After the week I have had at work…I am really putting the “labor” into Labor Day!

It has to be prayer. It is what gets me in the right mindset for the day ahead – when I need to calm my anxious soul, seek help for a friend, express gratitude for blessings that come my way, for an answer when none are to be found.

A new place to hike, take photos and listen to nature….no humans, no traffic, just quiet.

Believe it or not. NONE. My mom was a single mom with three girls. We had no T.V. for a long time. We did not get a T.V. until I was 16 years old as a gift one Christmas from my grandpa. And it was to watch the Buffalo Bills play on Sunday!!

When I leave work for the day. I roll down the window and crank up Elvis on the radio on my drive home. And then I look forward to seeing my family, visiting about their day, and write or work on a craft.

I survived the week at work. I came home to a hot meal (Alaska salmon and mashed potatoes) and cheesecake from Denny’s and our T.V. set to binge watch our favorite show “Longmire.” And tomorrow is church!

There would be no swearing in my city. There would be a large zoo that would be free so that citizens could get animal therapy anytime they wanted. (Caveat: NO snakes would be in my zoo) Trees, lots of trees.
