A prompt that made me smile and groan in remembering
Do you remember life before the internet? This prompt made me both smile and groan….in 1993 my husband and I had just gotten married. I remember getting our first desktop computer, almost $2,000 at the time (our kids’ jaws drop every time we retell it) and installing AOL for access and email and the signatureContinue reading “A prompt that made me smile and groan in remembering”
Wife, Mom, Human and Art

Being content with “enough”
What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable? For a long time having it all to me meant all the money, all the power, all the fame, all the attention. If we were to truly have it all, then ambition, drive, growth all stop. I have found that for me personally IContinue reading “Being content with “enough””
Miss you dad/First Hand Account of History
Who would you like to talk to soon? My response would have to be two-fold. I would deeply love to have my father-in-law back with us for our daily text and meme exchanges. It is a void that can’t be filled. And I would love to visit with historical figures and get their first handContinue reading “Miss you dad/First Hand Account of History”
Sentimental could be my middle name
What personal belongings do you hold most dear? A well-used Bible full of margin notes and highlighted verses from college, a hand painted coffee mug my daughter made for me that I still use, and the engagement ring from my husband. He worked 3 jobs to pay for it back in 1991.
Need a recipe? Pretty sure I have a book for that!!!
Do you have any collections? One of the activities I love to do when I have spare time is baking, cooking or canning! Food is how I enjoy showing love and care for others. And I love collecting cookbooks especially finding old church ones at garage sales. Need a hot dish for a Lutheran churchContinue reading “Need a recipe? Pretty sure I have a book for that!!!”
Inspired, Valued, Loved
What is the legacy you want to leave behind? I want anyone that I leave behind to be left with the feeling of being inspired….inspired to be generous, kind to others, live a life of integrity and honesty. I want them to have memories that anytime we were together they felt valued. Most of allContinue reading “Inspired, Valued, Loved”
The Cold Weather Yes, the snow…not so much
How do you feel about cold weather? Having grown up in western New York and then having lived in Minnesota for 20 years, I have had my fill of cold weather. I prefer it over hot temps any time. The air is fresh, I can breathe and think. However, I have gotten to where IContinue reading “The Cold Weather Yes, the snow…not so much”
