My husband was born and raised in Minnesota. In the winter the lakes entirely freeze over and the ice gets so thick and you can drive on it and ice fish during the winter. In the spring, the most anticipated activity is guessing the date of “Ice Out” on each of the lakes and when the ice will be completely gone. Prizes and recognition to be had!
