What’s one small improvement you can make in your life? The improvements I am trying to make can be summed up with one word: Focus. Focus on reading 30 minutes a day, focus on saying no more often so I have time with family, focus on the positive around me and not the negative.

Everyday Joes trying to make the world a little better
Share a story about someone who had a positive impact on your life. My positive impact salute goes out to the “everyday Joes” trying to do their part to make the world a little bit better. I have met customers this week making handmade curtains for veterans’ housing, a lady running a homeless shelter throwingContinue reading “Everyday Joes trying to make the world a little better”
One word – with many meanings
What does freedom mean to you? Freedom. A powerful word. Even more so depending upon which preposition after it. Freedom from stress, grief, burdens, debt, low self esteem, doubt. Freedom to pursue one’s dreams and aspirations, to travel, to love.

Tim Hawkins – The memory still makes me laugh
What was the last live performance you saw? Just before we moved from Colorado our entire family got to see Comedian Tim Hawkins live. His comedic roast of the city of Boulder and the audience’s rousing singing of “Sweet Caroline” and “YMCA” will be memories we won’t forget.
Help the homeless and the hungry
What do you do to be involved in the community? The two things our family does together to help is package Ziploc bags of travel size toiletries and hand them out to homeless in our community and when we get food items on sale, buy an extra few cans and donate them to our localContinue reading “Help the homeless and the hungry”
“Way back, way back and it’s gone!!!!!!”
What’s a job you would like to do for just one day? Hands down I would love to be an announcer in the booth and do play by play for a Major League baseball game. I would pack as many snacks, stats and trivia as I could into that one day.
Husbands…when they be trippin’
Today’s heart-stopping Sunday moment is sponsored by “Husbands…when they be trippin’!”. I was pulling the lawn mower out of the shed to mow and stepped back to see this by my foot thinking it was a huge snake coming up through the floorboards. I texted my husband Tim a photo and he is like …Continue reading “Husbands…when they be trippin’”
