Our family had a chocolate lab named Maximus (he got his name from the movie Gladiator). We had him for 10 years until he passed away this summer from cancer. He was loyal, protective, loved the family. Was always at the door with tail just a wagging. Pets are wonderful because you can vent toContinue reading “I miss my Maximus”

We rarely buy expensive things, but when we do we get our money’s worth!!!
My husband and I rarely buy brand new expensive things. We love thrift stores, flea markets, the clearance aisles. However, in 2008 we bought a brand new Sleep Number bed. We still have it.
I have never ever….
None. I have never listened to even one minute of a podcast. I am usually listening to music or watching a baseball or football game!
“Managing?” :-)
I “manage” to be in front of my screen WAY more than I should. Household chores are done before any screen time, and I turn screens off by a certain time each evening.
I was going to write that I would rather be doing something different with my time

I would love to have more time to spend helping in my church and volunteering in the community. I pray thatContinue reading “Prayerfully looking forward to the future”
Tall People Appreciation Day

A very diverse collection :-)
For my photography: Photocrowd and Deviant Art For ideas for the floral wreaths I make: Pinterest For video clips of my favorite comedians: YouTube For finding vintage items to sell in my store: ShopGoodwill
I’d go back to college
My college days most definitely! 4 of my favorite years ever. In class all day, at the basketball game on Friday nights, playing soccer on Saturday mornings, in church on Sunday mornings and listening to football on the radio while I wrote my research papers Sunday afternoons! And college is where I met my husbandContinue reading “I’d go back to college”
The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere
I love Revolutionary War history. What was is like to be sound asleep and in the dead of night, awake out of a sound sleep to the sound of a horse’s hooves tearing through the streets yelling that the British were coming? Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s poem has always been one of my favorites! For, borneContinue reading “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere”
